In addition, she is the Boarding House manager and our OSHA and safety committee organizer. Trinity is a native of Ontario where she lives with her husband, Cody, daughter, Emma, and son, Dylan. In addition to her full time duties in the hospital, she is responsible for inventory management. Though all of veterinary medicine is enjoyable to her, Gretchen’s favorite subjects include client interaction and education, nutrition and laboratory diagnostics. Gretchen is a native of Payette, where she lives with her husband, Jamie, her daughter, Kynlee, and two cats, Shy and Binx. Barney, a Shih Tzu, and Landri, a Golden Retriever, accompany her to work daily. She enjoys reading, spending time at the family cabin and refinishing Shabby Chic furniture. Vickie joined the Ontario Animal Hospital team in June 2015 and is our full time receptionist. She has a varied background in banking and retail. She has enjoyed getting to know our clients and their companions. Vickie grew up in Payette, but now resides in Nyssa with her fiancé, Matt. Spending time with family is an important part of her life. She also enjoys bike riding, going for walks and fishing. Her furry family consists of Roscoe, a Bull dog, and two cats, PJ and Six, both of whom were adopted from the Ontario Feral Cat Project. These two hooligans have made Vickie a fan of felines.
Irene is our part-time receptionist who joined the practice in July 2016. This is her first experience working in the veterinary field. She grew up in Vale and worked for BLM for 34 years as a records manager and contracting officer. Irene is fluent in Spanish which is very helpful to our Hispanic clients and their four legged family friends. She now lives in Ontario with her daughter, Lindsey, and their cats, Icky Thumb, Adolphagus and Scylla. Her newest feline addition is Hippidy. This little kitten was an Ontario Feral Cat rescue who won her heart after he recovered from a bilateral hind leg paralysis. Irene enjoys golfing, gardening and drives in the country. When she is not at work or school, you can find her caring for nephews or hanging out with cousins. Her constant companion is her spunky Chihuahua, Wilfred.
Juanita is our full-time Kennel Attendant who keeps things clean and organized. Originally from a ranch outside Burns, Juanita graduated from Crane High School. She moved to Ontario in 2001 where she met her husband, Casey, and started her family. She has three children, Clayton, Kyle and Alyvia. Her ranch upbringing exposed her to a wide range of animals, making her comfortable with the care of your dogs, cats and occasional bird or exotic pet. Her personal menagerie includes chickens, Peeps, the duck, one cat, Puff, one dog, Juniper, and Betsy, the buffalo. In her spare time, she enjoys riding dirt bikes and Dual Sport motorcycles with her family. She still rides her horses when she visits the family’s ranch in Burns. In addition, she feels very fortunate to be able to care for her 94 year old Grandpa Scott. Stop by the Boarding House during any weekday to meet Juanita and tour our facility.
